Authorities say the vehicle appeared to have become stuck in tire ruts and brush. The driver of the vehicle, a 16-year-old boy, was found about 150 yards from the vehicle by family members.

He was pronounced dead at the scene and “appeared to have succumbed to exposure.”

The death is currently under further investigation.
