Rhoden swears in Monday

SIOUX FALLS, S.D. (KELO) — Governor Larry Rhoden will be sworn into office Monday, according to a press release.

Governor Rhoden announced his plans to be sworn in as the 34th governor of South Dakota. The oath of office will be taken on Monday, January 27 at 11:00 am.

Larry Rhoden succeeds to governor of South Dakota

Administering the oath of office to Governor Rhoden will be South Dakota Supreme Court Chief Justice Steven R. Jensen. The event is scheduled for the Governor’s Office at the South Dakota Capitol building in Pierre.

A larger, public swearing-in ceremony will be held on February 8 in the Capitol rotunda. That ceremony will be followed by a Capitol Ball that evening in the rotunda.
