BROOKINGS, S.D. (KELO) — The SDSU women remained perfect in Summit League play with an 89-71 win over Oral Roberts Saturday.
The Jackrabbits trailed by 10 after one quarter but used a 14-0 run to start the second to surge in front. The Jacks shot 64 percent over the final three periods. Paige Meyer led the way with 23 points.
Winners of now 58 straight Summit League regular season games, South Dakota State knows it will draw a challenge from the opposition each game.
“We talk about every team’s going to come and bring their best against us,” SDSU senior guard Paige Meyer said. “So I think just finding ways to bring our best against them and just finding ways to get better in practice.”
“Every team is going to give us their best look and that might look different than what they do against other teams,” SDSU redshirt junior guard Haleigh Timmer said. “And so I think just settling in and finding what’s open for us and then just getting to the open shots.”
The Jackrabbits head to Fargo for a showdown with rival NDSU Wednesday night in a battle of the top two teams in the standings.
