SIOUX FALLS, S.D. (KELO) — Six semifinals across three classes were completed Friday night, setting up the state championships for girls high school basketball.

CHAMPIONSHIPS

Class ‘AA’ – #1 O’Gorman vs. #2 Brandon Valley

Class ‘A’ – #1 SF Christian vs. #3 Mahpiya Luta

Class ‘B’ – #4 Bennett County vs. #6 Sanborn Central/Woonsocket

CLASS ‘AA’

The top-seed O’Gorman girls pushed their win streak to 47 with a dominant 58-31 win over Rapid City Stevens.

They’ll meet Brandon Valley. The second-seeded Lynx got an early lead and kept Washington at arms length to claim the 72-56 win.

CLASS ‘A’

Sioux Falls Christian is headed to the class ‘A’ state championship. It was an offensive struggle, but they found their way to a 44-33 win over Hamlin.

The night cap saw a big lead for Mahpiya Luta. The Crusaders led by double digits for a large chunk of the game. Dakota Valley made a run in the third and fourth quarter, but couldn’t get over the hump. Mahpiya Luta claimed a 72-66 win.

CLASS ‘B’

Class ‘B’ will be the only class without a top-seed in the championship. Bennett County stunned #1 Centerville 44-41 in Huron on Friday.

The Warriors will meet six-seed Sanborn Central/Woonsocket in the championship game. The Blackhawks earned a narrowed 45-43 win over Dell Rapids St. Mary.
