SIOUX FALLS, S.D. (KELO) — The Augustana hockey team has not lost since December 7 and secured its first weekend sweep since early January with a pair of wins the last two nights.
The Vikings defeated Lake Superior State 6-3 and 4-3. On Saturday, Augie trailed by one with less than three minutes to play in regulation before Luke Mobley netted the equalizer on the power play and Hunter Bischoff put home the game winner with less than a minute remaining. Augustana knows it can grow from the tightly contested affair.
“There was some desperation there, which is which is good to have,” Augustana head coach Garrett Raboin said. “You take a win all day, but we did it the ugly way. So we’ll get better from this one.”
The Vikings, who are in first place in the CCHA, head to Minnesota State, who is in second place, this weekend.
