SIOUX FALLS, S.D. (KELO) – There’s a new restaurant in Sioux Falls and it’s serving up an interactive dining experience. After two years of anticipation, KPot is now open in the old Dress Barn on Louise Avenue.
Even on the second day of business, KPot had a line of people waiting when they opened at noon Thursday.

“It’s been great. It’s had a steady flow,” Regional Manager Sunny Chang said.
The all-you-can-eat Korean BBQ and Hot Pot restaurant announced it was coming to Sioux Falls in 2023 and many have been patiently waiting for this week to come.
“I’ve been waiting forever. I’ve been counting the days, absolutely,” customer Franklin Forsman said.
“We’ve been talking about it for two weeks now at school and we talked about it opening yesterday and we just had to come in and try the food and just enjoy it,” customer Mohamed Dianno said.
This is KPot’s third Midwest location and 99th nationwide. Each table is equipped with its own grill and induction stove, giving customers an interactive experience of cooking their own food.
“We’ve also been wanting to expand and represent the community for Asian culture and concepts and I think this is a fun way for a family gathering,” Chang said. “You can come here, help cook, grill at the table indoors.”
Chang says they have options for everyone from meat lovers and pescatarians to vegetarians and people who are gluten-free.
LS: What are you looking forward to?
“Trying everything,” Dianno said.
“I was in Korea for a month,” Forsman said. “I saw everything, ate everything, basically, so excited it’s finally here. Best food in the world.”
KPot is open from noon to 10 Monday through Thursday. On weekend nights they are open a half hour later.
