Local Special Olympian brings home silver

SIOUX FALLS, S.D. (KELO) — A Sioux Falls man earned a silver medal Saturday in the Special Olympics World Winter Games.

Nick Mills, a Sioux Falls native and skier, took home silver in the Special Olympics World Winter Games in Turin, Italy.

Special Olympics skier receives neighborhood support

His silver medal performance was in the slalom. Mills also earned fifth place in giant slalom and a seventh place finish in super g earlier in the week. He has been skiing for more than ten years after his grandfather first introduced him to it.
