SIOUX FALLS, S.D. (KELO) — A Sioux Falls man was sentenced on Monday for possession of child pornography.
Marc Jones, 30, was sentenced to 20 years in federal prison, according to the U.S. Attorney’s Office District of South Dakota.
The charges stemmed from an incident on March 23, 2023 when Jones possessed images of child pornography on his phone. The images were taken of minor females exiting a shower. The girls were unaware that their photographs were taken.

Jones was indicted in May 2023 and pleaded guilty in February 2024. Jones was previously convicted in 2014 for 4th-degree rape in South Dakota. He must register as a sex offender once released from prison.
It is not known whether Jones took the photos or if he obtained them from another person.
