Sioux Falls airport: Hurricane could impact flights

SIOUX FALLS, S.D. (KELO) — It’s possible that Hurricane Milton could impact flights in Florida, the Sioux Falls Regional Airport said in a social media post Monday.

“We are expecting several airports in Florida to be severely impacted. Please check directly with your airline regarding any delays or cancellations to your travel plans,” the airport said on X.

According to the airport’s website, there are direct flights to these Florida cities: Fort Lauderdale, Punta Gorda, St. Petersburg and Orlando.

It’s not clear if the Hurricane canceled this flight but the departures list a 5:42 p.m. Monday Allegiant flight to St. Petersburg as canceled. A 4:52 p.m. Monday Allegiant flight from St. Petersburg was listed as canceled.
