Suspect identified in Rapid City assault and burglary

SIOUX FALLS, S.D. (KELO) — KELOLAND News has an update on a Rapid City burglary we first reported on Saturday.

Police in Rapid City have identified the suspect as 39-year-old Joshua Peacock of Rapid City.

Peacock was released from prison on parole on Friday. He currently has an active Parole Detainer out for his apprehension.

Police are asking for the public’s help in finding Peacock. He is to be considered dangerous and should not be approached.

Anyone with any information about Peacock’s whereabouts should contact police immediately at 605-394-4131. An anonymous tip can also be submitted by texting the letters ‘RCPD’ and the information to 847411.
