California atmospheric river event triggers evacuation alerts around burn scars

Evacuation warnings have been issued for areas around burn scars from recent wildfires, including the Eaton and Palisades fires. The FOX Forecast Center predicts that rounds of heavy precipitation will impact the state on Wednesday and Thursday. While lower elevations are expected to experience heavy rainfall, higher elevations may see several feet of snow throughout the workweek.
