An area of disturbed weather in the eastern Atlantic is continuing on its long journey to the west, and forecasters with the National Hurricane Center (NHC) say it could become a tropical depression as the system moves into an area that’s favorable for tropical development.
A disturbed area of weather in the Gulf of Mexico will make for an extended period of squally weather for the Florida Peninsula. The heaviest rainfall is expected to be from the Interstate 4 corridor and southward, where a widespread area could see 4-6 inches of rainfall over the next week.
