SIOUX FALLS, S.D. (KELO) -- Longtime McCook County Sheriff Eugene "Gene" Taylor has died. Taylor, 82, of Salem, died at Avera Heart Hospital in Sioux Falls on Wednesday, March 19. Taylor worked as McCook County Deputy from April 1973 to December 1978, before becoming Sheriff in January of 1979 and serving until December of 2006. [...]
