UPDATE: 18-year-old dead in Monday RC shooting

SIOUX FALLS S.D. (KELO) — Rapid City Police have confirmed one person has died in a shooting on Monday night.

Three injured in Rapid City shooting

Officers responded to gunshots near an apartment on the 4000 block of Range Road. Three men were taken to the hospital for their injuries. In an update Tuesday, police said 18-year-old Marquise Walker of Rapid City died of his injuries at the hospital.

Walker, a senior, is listed as a running back and a defensive end player for the Central High School football team.

The shooting remains under investigation.

Police said all the people involved appear to know each other and there was no ongoing threat to the public.
