SIOUX FALLS, S.D. (KELO) — It’s been an ongoing mystery that we’ve been following for nearly two weeks; where is Tyler Weathersby?

KELOLAND News had an exclusive interview with Weathersby’s wife and brother, who remain deeply concerned about his well-being.

“It’s been extremely difficult. A lot of ups and downs, a lot of breakdowns, trying to hold it together for our children,” Monalisa Perez said.

Monalisa Perez says she has no idea where her husband could be.

“At this point? No, I don’t,” Perez said.

Perez says she and Tyler just had their baby six months ago, plus he has two stepchildren, that’s why she strongly believes he would never just leave on his own.

“Yes, this is out of character for him,” Perez said.

“I’m hurt. You know, I’m hurt because I know that this isn’t my brother,” Gregory Weathersby said.

We spoke with Tyler’s brother Gregory, who lives in Wyoming. He, too, doesn’t believe Tyler would just disappear without a trace.

“I would say Tyler. Tyler is a really open-hearted individual. He kind of wants to help everyone,” Gregory said.

Since his disappearance earlier this month, family and friends have been doing organized searches to find Tyler and bring him home.

“The public has been amazing. They’ve sent me a lot of different proof, a lot of behind-the-scenes things. They’ve been supporting the search groups, handing out missing person fliers, sending me video footage that they may have found of Tyler, different screenshots and proofs and different documentation that may lead to hopefully finding Tyler soon.” Gregory said.

“I think what the community is doing has been extremely helpful, just continuing to keep their eyes open and finding Tyler,” Perez said.

Tyler’s brother says he’s looking into hiring a private investigator and that’s why they’ve set up a GoFundMe page.If you have any information on where Tyler might be, you are asked to call police or leave a tip with Crime Stoppers.
